We are looking for an experienced Construction Subcontracts Bookkeeper to manage and maintain our subcontractor accounts efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction industry accounting practices, strong organizational skills, and a passion for ensuring the financial success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain subcontractor accounts in compliance with company policies.
Process subcontractor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor and reconcile subcontractor accounts on an ongoing basis.
Collaborate with the project management team to verify contract terms, change orders, and ensure proper documentation.
Generate subcontractor financial reports, including aging reports and project-specific summaries.
Prepare subcontractor payments in accordance with contract terms and payment schedules.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, as necessary.
Liaise with subcontractors to address payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Provide support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

3+ years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
Proficient in construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Briq) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of subcontractor accounts payable processes.
Excellent organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and highly accurate in data entry and record-keeping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments.
Knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices is a plus.
