We specialize in land reclamation, land clearing, revegetation, drain projects, and brushmowing. We contract with coal mines, landfills, quarries, USALE, and many other entities.

Position Overview

Oak Hill Contractors is actively recruiting a site superintendent to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should be reliable and motivated, along with an adaptive personality and ability to work well with others.  Ability to independently problem solve is a must. Qualified applicants must have in depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and MSHA regulations. Daily responsibilities include job site oversight and management (typically multiple sites or 1 large site), management of crew members, coordinating with suppliers and regulatory agency personnel, ensuring safety procedures are followed correctly, meeting operational goals and deadlines, maximizing production, and providing support to site supervisors. This position is a supervisory position that oversees site supervisors.

Ideal Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experience; preferably in dirt excavation
• MSHA 5000-23 surface certification, required
• OSHA 30, preferred
• Heavy equipment operating experience; haul trucks, tractor pan / scrapers, dozer, excavator, grader, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints
• Problem solving skills
• Flexible personality and ability to work well with others is mandatory for this position; includes ability to establish and build solid client relationships
• Must be able to multitask and work at multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to travel
