Burns Dirt is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our growing busy team. The duties and responsibilities of our maintenance team are geared toward maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work site while supporting construction operations in the field.

The list of duties and responsibilities for this position may include the following:
o Perform maintenance and repairs both in the maintenance facility and in the field.
o Recording maintenance activities in software.
o Evaluate and repair earth moving equipment - including inspecting trucks, bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
o Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
o Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
o Perform tasks that require removal and install; disassembly and reassembly; perform minor adjustments on basic components in work area on engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components.
o Repairing damaged equipment parts, Performing major repair work when necessary.
o Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.
o Changing and replacing tires or tracks on machines, trucks, and other pieces of equipment.
o Consulting with other mechanics on outsourced maintenance projects.
o Reporting to Lead Maintenance Technician.
