BuildWitt was founded in 2018 with a simple but ambitious mission: make the Dirt World a better place. Aaron Witt was just a kid who loved construction and got a job laying pipe when he was 18.
It was easy to see that some of the most interesting and talented people worked in the industry, so he started telling their stories. And it caught on. But what started with a kid and a camera has become so much more — an opportunity to push the industry we know and love forward to create an even #BetterDirtWorld.
We aim to make the Dirt World a better place in all we do. If we’re working on a project, and bettering the Dirt World isn't the ultimate result, we either rework the project or toss it. We work with Dirt World companies to help solve the people problem they're facing through media, web development, branding and creative, and digital marketing.
Companies also use BuildWitt Training, a software designed specifically for the Dirt World. It teaches beginners to seasoned pros how to become safer, more productive team members while advancing their careers in construction.
Our team’s visited more jobsites in the last four years than any other organization. We’ve been on the ground with hundreds of teams, listening to their stories. In that time, we’ve gathered data on the industry and the problems it’s facing.
We’re not a contractor, OEM, vendor, or association — we don’t compete, and we can move quickly.
Our middle-ground positioning will help bring cohesive change to the Dirt World.
Overall, there’s a people problem in the Dirt World, and that’s our focus. The older generation is retiring, and there aren’t enough new people coming onto the scene.
For starters, we’re working to improve the reputation of the blue-collar world. Then we focus on attracting more talent to the Dirt World, leadership improvement, hiring, training, team health, retention, and employee growth.
By investing in their people, companies will see their business thrive, taking on new jobs and becoming known as a reputable places to work.
