Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Marine Field Service Support Assistant in Chesapeake, Virginia. The full-time Marine Field Service Support Assistant is responsible for supporting all required functions for work orders and parts for the marine service area. Seeking candidates with previous experience working in an administrative role. High school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements for the Marine Field Service Support Assistant position include:

Attention to detail.
Excellent communication and telephone skills.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Must be able to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work additional hours based on business and customer demands.

Physical requirements must be met for the Marine Field Service Support Assistant job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
