Job Summary:

TMT Gravel and Contracting Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavator Hoe Ram Operator to join our hardworking and dependable team. The successful candidate will operate hydraulic excavators equipped with hoe ram attachments to perform demolition, rock breaking, trenching, and other excavation tasks safely and efficiently across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators with hoe ram attachments to break concrete, rock, and other hard materials.

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance issues.

• Interpret site plans, drawings, and job specifications.

• Safely maneuver heavy equipment in tight or sensitive work areas.

• Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to ensure project timelines are met.

• Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs as needed.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas during and after operations.

• Strictly follow all TMT Gravel and Contracting Inc. and OSHA safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating excavators with hoe ram attachments.

• Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification (if required).

• Familiarity with excavation best practices and job site safety.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Physically able to work in demanding outdoor conditions.

• Dependable transportation to and from job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with various excavator attachments (buckets, compactors, thumbs).

• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.

• Knowledge of underground utility safety practices.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• May require extended hours, evenings, or weekends.

• Physically strenuous, involving standing, lifting, and climbing.
