
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an IT Project Manager-ERP in Richmond, Virginia. The IT Project Manager-ERP lead the transition from a legacy system to Microsoft Dynamics. This role requires advanced technical expertise, project management, and leadership to ensure a seamless implementation that aligns with business goals and delivers measurable value. Seeking candidates with a minimum five years ERP experience, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (e.g., Business Central, Finance and Operations). Expertise in data migration (e.g., DMF, data mapping, validation) and cloud-based ERP architecture (e.g., Azure integration). Experience with legacy system transitions and knowledge of common ERP pitfalls (e.g., over-customization, poor vendor selection). Experience holding vendors and teams accountable, with skills in negotiating contracts and enforcing SLAs. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
