Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer in Richmond, Virginia. The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical counsel to internal/external customers to develop proposals and negotiate contracts for new business opportunities. Additional responsibilities include developing new business opportunities that increase equipment, parts and service sales through direct face-to-face contact. Seeking candidates with a minimum five years technical experience in the Electric Power Generation field, specifically the Generator/Switchgear and Transfer Switch/UPS business segments. Minimum of one year’s sales experience preferred.
