Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a General Construction Sales Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. The General Construction Sales Manager position is responsible for Caterpillar and Allied product sales, customer relationships, territory market share, profitability and account coverage for the Machine Sales Division. Seeking candidates with a minimum five years in sales management experience in construction industry, including leadership experience. Experience with Caterpillar equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
Requirements for the General Construction Sales Manager position include:
Compensation Range $140,000 - $170,000 a year (base plus commissions)
This is a sales position with a base salary plus monthly commissions. Commissions are based on the type of commodity or product sold or rented, with varying rates depending on the product category.
Physical requirements must be met for the General Construction Sales Manager job, including regularly being required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
