Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer oversees the operational quality aspects of supplier relationships within the company. Responsibilities include developing and ensuring quality systems and procedures for supplier operations, providing support to interdepartmental operations, and addressing any quality-related issues associated with suppliers. Seeking candidates with a minimum four years of experience in quality engineering or related role. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred. Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
Requirements for the Quality Engineer position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Quality Engineer job, include regularly being required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds.
