Allan Myers is looking for an eager, hard-working Surveyor Intern to assist and support in the planning and coordination of the surveying needs on heavy civil construction projects. Typical assignments are 3-6 months in length.

Responsibilities:

Learns the details of the plans and specifications of the project assigned. Coordinate with the project team supervisor to prioritize tasks.
Coordinate with operations on the project needs for equipment and labor.
Actively seeking out opportunities to increase the Allan Myers survey function with value-adding activities, new technologies or ideas.
Participates as required with the in-house pre-construction planning and development of the project schedule.
Receive on-the-job training led by talented, passionate members of the Allan Myers team.
Gain exposure to a large heavy civil construction project.
Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency (GED) required.
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Surveying, Business Management, or another engineering related degree.
Must be a collaborative team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
