Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a EPG Training Instructor in Elkridge, Maryland.  The EPG Training Instructor is responsible for Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a EPG Training Instructor in Elkridge, Maryland.  The EPG Training Instructor is responsible for organizing, conducting and evaluating technical training courses with a primary focus on power systems/generator content.  Seeking candidates with minimum five years diesel engine, electrical and/or power generation experience required. Experience presenting material in an engaging manner preferred but training will be provided. 

Requirements for the EPG Training Instructor position include:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Must be able to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Must be able to design and implement effective training and development.
• Must be able to travel with overnight travel required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Physical requirements must be met for the Training Instructor job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.  Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
